Throughout the month of June, Brightwood College campuses across the country hosted Community Health Fairs designed to promote and inform the public on personal health and wellness. These events were put on by passionate students and staff from Brightwood College’s Allied Health and Nursing programs. Many campuses also invited community partners to participate in their Community Health Fair events. Local organizations were onsite, providing information about their services to attendees.
“With summertime often comes a reminder to get outside and a renewed motivation for healthy living,” says Scott King, campus president of Brightwood College in Sacramento. “We are always grateful for the opportunity to support our communities, and this June, we were excited to host the community while promoting something we are all passionate about here at Brightwood College — personal health. As a college, we are dedicated to encouraging one another as well as our neighbors toward healthy choices.”
The free event featured refreshments, giveaways — including a pair of Jabra Elite 65t True Wireless Earbuds — and activities for all ages, with each campus adding its own spin through unique activities for its particular location.
