If the assets of Brightwood College should be transferred or sold to another entity, all personal information collected through our websites will be considered to be a part of those assets.

Brightwood College maintains commercially reasonable policies and procedures to protect the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information or other types of data that we collect. We take standard and acceptable precautions to keep our collection and storage systems secure and protected behind a firewall. However, since no security system is foolproof, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. We are also not responsible for the security of information you transmit to us over networks we do not control.
We retain the information collected from our websites for as long as reasonably necessary to provide you with services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, or as required under applicable law.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Our websites are neither designed for nor targeted to children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, do not provide your personal information to us. If you believe your child has impermissibly provided us with their personal information, please contact us using the information below, so that we can identify and delete their information.
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
We comply with all FERPA requirements concerning the release of student transcripts and other education records.
For California Residents
Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide us with personal information are entitled to request us to disclose whether we shared any of their personal information with any other businesses for their own direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2018 will receive information regarding 2017 sharing activities).
To obtain this information, please send an email message or letter to one of the addresses below with the subject “Request for California Privacy Information” on the subject line and in the body of your message along with your full name, residential address, and email address so that we can respond to your inquiry.
